THIS, IS MY STORY

He is passionate about empowering communities, mobilizing businesses to give back, and creating lasting impact.
A LITTLE BACKGROUND
Nick Marino Jr. was born and raised in Garland, TX, just outside of Dallas, by his parents, who hail from New York City. His mother is from Brooklyn, and his father is from Manhattan, creating a unique blend of Northeastern grit and Southern hospitality in his upbringing. Nick wasn’t raised with a silver spoon in his mouth but rather a wooden one—and he was fed well. His family faced hard times and great times, but through it all, his parents instilled in him love, kindness, and generosity, shaping the values he carries into his life and work today.
HUNGRY FOR CHANGE
Nick Marino Jr. is recognized as one of the leading minds in corporate social responsibility, social impact, and nonprofit innovation. As the Director of the Center for Business Impact at the Communities Foundation of Texas, he mobilizes businesses to give back, create lasting impact, and engage employees in empowering thriving communities.

Nick also serves as the Volunteer Executive Director of Tango Charities, which provides over 750,000 meals annually to kids, veterans, seniors, and others in need across the country. With 31 monthly Feed The City events and an ever-growing network of volunteers, Tango Charities has fed over 7 million people globally, hosted more than 1,500 events across 5 countries, 14 states, and 63 cities, and mobilized over 96,000 volunteers.

Nick’s philanthropic efforts began with his leadership at TangoTab, where he helped feed over 3 million people. In 2020, he transitioned to focus on Tango Charities, spearheading programs like Cultivate Garden Projects, school food programs, and more, all dedicated to eradicating hunger and building stronger communities.
